Green Tea — I drink about a liter of green tea every day. This tea contains very potent polyphenols, so it is one of the most effective at dealing with damaged skin cells, helping you to return a healthy glow to your skin. Green tea also contains high levels of quercetin, which controls inflammation and redness.
Foods such as red meat, dairy, pastry, and beverages containing caffeine and alcohol trigger systemic inflammation, aggravating the autoimmune...

A chamomile tea bag is your best bet for tired, baggy eyes too! It is a good choice to deal with stress and promote sleep, both of which can affect the health and appearance of your skin. While chamomile tea isn’t my favorite flavor-wise, I still love the way it helps me relax in the evening. We all look better when we’re well-rested! 5. Rooibos Tea — Otherwise known as red tea, it contains similar properties to the others, as well as a healthy dose of flavonoids, and has been used for hundreds of years in South Africa for a range of skin health issues, including acne, rashes and sunburn. Flavonoids help to keep inflammation flare ups under control. 6. Burdock Root — If you suffer from acne, this is the tea for you. It’s anti-fungal properties help to defeat the bacteria that cause acne. Less bacteria, less acne. 7. Peppermint Tea — The menthol helps to control the oils in your skin, encourages skin cell and the production of further oils. So not only does your skin shed dead cells more easily, but with oil production under control, it’s the ideal for someone with an oily complexion. While not on the list, I also recommend this easy detox turmeric tea. Turmeric is loaded with healthy properties that can fight inflammation in the body, and it’s something that I add to my diet every day. In addition to nourishing from the inside, I also recommend keeping your skin exfoliated using a great homemade sugar scrub. I’ve rounded up a list of my 15 faves here! Herbal teas can easily be incorporated into your daily skin regimen, several times a day, for maximum benefits. You might want to limit the caffeinated white and green teas tbedtimeorning routine, as I’ve found that drinking these close to bed time can keep me up at night. Otherwise, drink-up and enjoy the benefits of tea for your skin!
