SIGN UP If we’re going to be honest with one another, fermented foods sound pretty gross. That’s what happens when you leave leave apple juice in the back of your car while you’re out of town. But that’s a (smelly) story for another time. We’re here to talk about one of the good fermented foods today, yogurt. Greek or regular can be considered “eating clean” as long as you stay away from additives, artificial flavoring and coloring, and high fructose corn syrup. You’re really only looking for milk of some sort with live and active cultures. If it’s flavored make sure it’s with real fruit and real fruit only. The ingredients list is always your best friend so take time to read what you’re buying. Your best bet: buy plain greek yogurt (it’s got more nutrients than the regular stuff) and add your own toppings to up the flavor.
