Most patients only need one CO2 treatment to see results; However, some patients with deeper wrinkles or scarring may need multiple treatments to see results.

An CO2 laser treatment may not be safe for those with certain health problems. An CO2 laser treatment is not recommended for patients who are currently taking Accutane. Those with a history of difficulty healing or scarring are not candidates, as well as those with bleeding disorders. Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding are not a candidate for the CO2 laser.
