Breaking The Myth: Detox Is Not A Diet Plan

For many, detox is considered as a fad diet or a fast where one is deprived of all food. In fact the word diet has been wrongly associated with the concept of detoxing; in reality detox is a natural process of purification where free radicals in the body which can be converted into cancerous cells are cured.

Why Detoxing Is Good For You

The biggest advantage of detoxing is that it allows the body to rid itself of any excess waste that has been stored. This can lead to weight loss to some extent. When you follow a detox process the organs get freed up to function the way they should. As a result your immune system gets a boost and you absorb nutrients better. Experts suggest that sticking with fruits and vegetables even after the detox program is completed is a good way to keep things moving. Detoxing can boost your energy levels too, as you are cutting out the intake of toxins and unhealthy food.
