The tall tales of the blinding glow of Korean skin are heard all over the world. Their beauty secrets are the most raved-about thing in the beauty world these days. For the uninitiated, Koreans are known for their flawless skin. If you’re a skincare enthusiast, you should be aware of the importance of the Korean beauty industry. Koreans are known for their skin being so bright and translucent that it almost seems radiant and reflects like glass. To know all about ways to achieve a radiant skin like Koreans, Health Shots got in touch with Shahnaz Husain, the beauty mogul, founder, and chairperson of The Shahnaz Husain Group, Hussain says, “Although this may seem overstated, Korean skin can be achieved by following a basic skincare routine that’ll give you blemish-free, clear, and bright skin. For decades, Korean beauty has relied on home remedies to achieve glass skin. These home remedies listed below will give you guaranteed results in the quality of your skin and its radiance.” Take a look at 5 Shahnaz Husain-approved home remedies to get Korean skin:

1. Rice flour and aloe vera face mask

Known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, rice flour puts a halt at aging skin, reduces UV damage to skin, and brightens the skin tone. It is also used as a natural exfoliator for mild scrubbing. On the other hand, the benefits of aloe vera include, eliminating acne, moisturizing the skin and lightening blemishes.

How to use:

To make this mild scrub, add 3 tablespoons of finely powdered rice flour into 2 teaspoons of freshly extracted aloe vera pulp. Mix cold water to make a paste. Using a brush or clean fingers, apply this scrub on your face and neck. Let it sit on your skin until partially dry before washing it off with cold water. This scrub is known to immediately soothe and refresh your skin. Use this mask at least once or twice a week .

2. Fermented rice water face mist

According to Husain, “Rice is not just a staple grain in Asian cuisine, it is also reputed for its beauty enhancing properties. Fermented rice is a permanent ingredient of many beauty regimens in Korea and many East Asian countries. It has been a beauty secret to get Korean skin. Rice water can help in decreasing UV skin damage and promotes collagen formation too. This reverses the signs of ageing like fine lines and wrinkles and gives you a flawless glow.”

How to use:

For this, drain the water of boiled rice. Allow the rice water to cool completely and pour it into a spray bottle. You may also use the water from soaked rice for this home remedy. Let your rice soak in water overnight and drain out the water the next morning. Allow the water to ferment for 2-3 days before spraying it as a face spray in the morning and right before night.
