What’s more? The magical drink is also loaded with vitamin A, which may positively affect hair, says Snyder, “providing nourishment to the roots while also stimulating growth and overall texture.” Although the bland-tasting plant is often overlooked in the superfood arena, passed over for leafy greens, vibrant carrots, and colorful courgettes, it deserves a space on the refrigerator shelf, says Snyder. For her, the ideal daily drink recipe incorporates celery for its “powerful healing benefits”—and she’s not talking about a spicy Bloody Mary that’s served with a stalk or two. In fact, the Los Angles–based expert suggests passing celery, and other fruits and vegetables for that matter, through a Vitamix before consuming. When juiced, “the benefits are truly magnified,” says Snyder, because “you are helping your body absorb the maximum amount of nutrition possible.” As for the recommended dose, Snyder suggests drinking 16 ounces first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
